One of the highlights of last year's festival for me was the outdoor screening of Hairspray on Porthmeor Beach outside Tate St Ives.
Great atmosphere, wonderful movie and above all - great fun!
This year's September Festival Film Programme does have a season of classic "Film Noir" movies at St Ives Arts Club. Penwith Film Society will probably be screening a couple of films at The Royal Cinema.
But so far - no movie on the beach - which to me is a great shame.

As for the choice of movie - for what it's worth - my vote would go to Mamma Mia - and in "Singalong" mode.
