This is something really different - a chance to see a classic silent movie with live accompaniment.
Sunrise - Director F W Murnau (1927).
In this fable-morality tale, the evil temptress is a city woman who bewitches farmer Anses and convinces him to murder his neglected wife, Indre. After Anses comes to his senses - just as he is about to kill Indre - the married couple renew their love in the city.
The Cornish five piece band Wurlitza will be adding a modern twist to Murnau’s silent film masterpiece, with their unique soundtrack -an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, pop, improvisation and sublime harmonies.
